The quality and yield of the harvest differ greatly according to the area and varieties grown. Positive characteristics can be seen between mountain areas, due to the absence of negative weather events during sprouting and flowering. As in other central regions, drought was a concern here as well. Due to the warm weather harvest started 2 weeks early.
In general the grapes have a good aromatic profile, but lower acidity and higher pH than usual.
Low yields in sauvignon blanc and chardonnay, while the yields for red varieties were slightly higher.
Some highlights for this year's vintage will be the aromatic profile of the cabernet sauvignon and carmènere.
The Longovilo area deserves some special attention as the cabernet sauvignon from this region shows some excellent quality, despite the lower yield and early harvest.
